COMMON DECENCY:

Acting in a manner which is expected of a normal human being.

On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the President of the United States (Donald J. Trump) made the decision to terminate the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  Now, of course, the President possesses the power to do this.  Quite frankly, I was not a fan of Director, James Comey.  However, I respected him.

Mr. Comey began his service as the seventh  FBI Director on  September 4, 2013.  His public service began in 1987 as a U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he helped prosecute the Gambino Crime Family.  It is without question that James Comey was a dutiful civil servant.  

Guess how he was fired?

While in Los Angeles, addressing FBI recruits, Mr. Comey noticed a “Breaking News” alert…”FBI Director fired by Trump” – how utterly disrespectful and devoid of even a scintilla of common decency.

Imagine discovering that your livelihood had been snatched from you, without warning, through a television bulletin.

We, as citizens, should be outraged!  No human being deserves to be humiliated in this manner.  No President of the United States should be allowed to behave in such a contemptuous manner.

SHAME!
